Privacy Policy

ApplyLoom helps you manage your job search (resume work, applications, and related tools) through our website and Chrome extension. This page explains what information we handle and why. If you use ApplyLoom, you're agreeing to this policy.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the product. That includes your email and login details when you create an account, plus anything you add yourself: resume text or files (PDF, Word, etc.), profile fields, job preferences, and notes or records you save about applications, such as employers, roles, drafts, that kind of thing.

If you connect an AI provider, we store the choices you make (like which model to use). Any API keys you enter are encrypted and used only for your account.

The extension saves some data on your device (settings, session, small bits of UI state) so it remembers you between visits. When something needs your account or our servers (sign-in, syncing, generating content), it talks to us over HTTPS.

Like most web apps, our servers keep basic technical logs: things like IP address, time of request, and errors so we can keep the site running and block abuse.

How we use it

We use this information to sign you in, show your data back to you, and power the features you turn on, such as resume help, job-related tools, and optional AI features. We also use it to fix bugs, improve the service, and keep accounts safe. If the law requires us to handle something a certain way, we follow that.

Who else sees your data

We use specialized providers for database, sign-in, hosting, and running the app online. When you pick an AI provider, that provider gets only what's needed for the requests you send. Each of those companies has its own privacy rules; we choose partners we believe treat data responsibly.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account exists and you're using the service. If you want your account or certain data deleted, email us (below) and we'll help. We can't always delete every trace instantly (for example backups), but we'll do what we can within reason and the law.
